KOZAK ISLAND festival

The Cossack ship “Spas” leaves for its journey through the Black and Mediterranean Seas to the international festival of ancient boats in Brest (France). To mark this occasion, on May 2nd on Khortytsia Island (Zaporizhia) there will be a genuine celebration – the KOZAK ISLAND festival.

The Cossack ship “Spas” will soon leave on its journey through the Black and Mediterranean Seas to the international festival of ancient boats in Brest (France). Further on, the “Spas” will show the whole world that this Cossack ship can cross the Atlantic, to demonstrate the geographical span of historic Cossack expeditions. To mark this occasion, there will be a genuine celebration on the island of Khortytsia.

From 11:00
Workshops in folk crafts including smithery, weavery, and pottery, and in traditional recitative. There will also be a workshop called “Artistic games” – a children’s workshop in painting.
