Village Quartet Following the steps of folk musicians from the villages of the Eastern Poland to Bukovyna and Transylvania, they are trying to find roots of the genuine Polish and Carpathian music. Therefore their music reaches the sources of folk songs, ballades and tunes from all the Carpathian corners. The ancient music tunes combined with an unusual sonority of the traditional antique instruments fill the audience with the spirit of those places, events or rituals, where this music was performed in the old times.

Village Quartet consists of two Polish bands — Kapela Hałasów and Transkapela. The musicians have been studying the traditional music of Poland and other European countries for many years. They were inspired by the vivid tradition and the archive records. They are participants of numerous ethno-musical experiments in Poland, Russia, and Caucuses. In general the Village Quartet style is a combination of dance energy, marvelous folk instruments sound such as tsymbaly and hardy-guardy, and the performance art.
